Playing Wargames is Not For Everyone
Being an avid gamer, I have played many genre of games before. They range from simple puzzle games, to complex, micro-managing strategy games. I even used to love playing First Person Shooter (FPS) games such as the Call of Duty and Medal of Honor games.
I don’t like war, and I really hoped that they can be stopped and prevented so they won’t be another horrible thing such as another World War. But just as some people like to play wargames on their computers, there are also people who like to play real wargames.
The word ‘real’ here is relative, since they used fake or replica weapon that uses plastic bullets or even paint bullets. But even though the bullets and the weapons used are fakes, taking a shot from such ‘toys’ from a close range can still hurt a lot, especially if it hits in sensitive areas such as the eyes.
That is why people even goes as far and equipped themselves with protective equipments such as goggles, knee and elbow pad, helmet, and so on. Some people even went further by equipping full tactical gear, from the helmet, goggles, shoes, pants, vests and many more.
Anyway, for me the best wargames is still the ones you played from the comfort of your chair using just your computers. That way no one gets hurt, well no one but me when my wife thought that I played too much. Lol, it has been awhile since I last played, but I really hope I can play again in someday. Until then I’ll just keep my fingers crossed. Good luck and see you later!
