Out of Town and Back Again
It has been more than a week since I wrote anything. I was out of town for several days last week, leaving on Wednesday morning and returning on Saturday morning. I was visiting the town of Kendari in South East Sulawesi, my first time visiting both the city and the island.
It was a busy trip for the group, well for most of the group to be honest, but that’s another story. As it happened, I didn’t get enough rest there, mostly my fault to be honest. I was put together with an acquaintance who happened to smoke and like to set the Air Conditioner very low, as low as 16°C.
I usually yield to the circumstances, so this time I deliberately let him to smoke in an air conditioned room, which I now regret. I won’t allow it to happen again next time. I dislike smoke, especially people who didn’t give much thought about smoking in the same room as a person who hates smoke.
I also found out too late about the air conditioner setting, that is when I am freezing in the morning, hardly getting any sleep at all. Let me tell you, he didn’t even feel like asking, just doing things as he please. Next time I don’t want to be put in the same room with him.
I spend the whole weekend having a fever because of my lack of sleep, and I also spend most of this week feeling weak and nauseated. I feel bad for my wife since I can’t help her doing most of the chores as usual. Won’t happen again next time.
