MacBook Air - The Thinnest Notebook Ever
I’ve never own an Apple product before. And why is that? Well, mostly because Apple’s Products are downright expensive, even more by Indonesian standards. Besides, I have been using Windows since my teenage days. And as always, the thought of switching to a totally different Platform / Operating System is downright scary. And also, with the same amount of money, I can build myself a better custom-made PC. Of course, my buddy nu3l who is an avid Mac user (God bless his soul), constantly nags me into switching to a Mac. But I’m not that easily swayed. Well, actually it’s because I can’t afford it, simply put.
Although I do admire Apple’s innovative and breakthrough design. Especially when they launched iPhone, it was simply a very cool device to have! I might consider buying one, if and when it is available on Indonesian market. Of course I need to save up some money first to even have a chance of buying it. Of course you can buy a cracked iPhone in the market, which can be used with Indonesian GSM Provider, but the price for such an iPhone is more than twice its normal retail price! I don’t think I’m willing to spend that much money, even for a device as cool as an iPhone.
Anyway, just a couple of weeks ago, I saw a new ad on the web. It was an ad for the MacBook Air notebook. You can see the ad on Apple’s official website. Or you can also see the MacBook Air ad on YouTube. But here’s something extra to show you. I also found a MacBook Air ad parody video on YouTube. The video is very, very funny. But in order to appreciate it, I recommend you watch the original version first. I hope the ad (both of them actually) will entertain you as much as they entertain myself.

Haiahhh, I thought I already switch you from the “Dark Side” old mate *grin*
Seriously mate, the “Mac is expensive” myth is nothing more than just a myth. If you look at building your own PC desktop, try build one that match the cheapest Mac desktop (either Mac Mini or iMac) + at least with the non-pirate Windows XP Professional / Vista Ultimate installed, and you’ll see that it’ll be cheaper to just buy the cheapest iMac. It’s a fact.
Here, have a look at this educational site: http://www.macvspc.info/
And for god sake…don’t buy cracked iPhone! We’ll get the real thing in this damnforsakecountry in mid year. Hopefully. Cross your finger! ^_^
