Just Another Morning in Azeroth

Blood Elf PaladinIt was morning as usual when my wife wakes me up. She started it gently, but when it is apparent that it is not working, she started rising the tone of her voice until it is almost turn into yelling. “Wake up you lazy, no good for nothing, wannabe Paladin! Go get your stuffs, get out of the house and don’t you dare enter it again before you at least increases in level and brings home something to eat!”

Reluctantly, I get up, muscles aching everywhere. That’s what you get for spending way too much time at the tavern, having a little too much ale. Not counting the fact that I slept in front of the fireplace with my chain armor still on. Ragged as it is, the armor is made from iron nonetheless. It creaked from lack of oiling, just like my body did a while ago.

My wife apparently leaves the house to find someone she can gossip with. Not that I blame her of course. I’d rather gossip too than spending a lot of time in this creaky hut of ours. I just wish she didn’t have to gossip with the well-off ladies as much as she did. It makes her have a lot of ridiculous thoughts. Just yesterday she told me how those womens gold watches gleam under the daylight sun!

I started walking towards the door, stopping by just to grab my short sword behind the door. Oh, how I wish I can afford to buy some new equipment, that way I’m sure I can gather enough loot from the nearby creatures to at least get my armor fixed.

The sun is already shining high when I finally stepped out of the door. Somehow the sunlight is making me feel a little bit more alive than before. I guess I’ll pass by the river on my way to the nearby forest so I can wash myself a little bit and have my self esteem boosted, if only a little. Perhaps that way I can actually kill a creature by using my short sword rather than using my body odor. Oh well, off to adventuring!

Gio’s note: This post was based loosely on the Paladin class and the world of Azeroth from my favorite game World of Warcraft which is created by Blizzard. This was actually quite fun post to write, and I hope to be able to do more post using characters, events, locations based on the World of Warcraft game. See you later then!
