I Can’t Watch Euro 2008!
Last night, Europe’s most awaited Football Championships has started. And just like many others football (or soccer for you Americans) I just can’t wait to watch it. But as it happened, I cannot watch the first game between co-host Switzerland and Czech Republic.
You see, I am using cable TV networks to watch the local channels here in Indonesia. But as it happened, the local TV channel who is the official broadcaster of Euro 2008 in Indonesia which is RCTI, is having some sort of agreement that the cable TV networks cannot broadcast the Championships Matches because of legal matter.
So you see, instead of joining in on the masses and yelling and jumping up and down like crazy, I’m stuck watching women wearing maternity clothes instead on God knows what channel my wife picked. And this means I’m also going to miss out on the next match between Portugal and Turkey.
I guess if I want to be able to watch the show, I’ve got to plug in the external antenna receptor to my TV. Since I only have an indoor antenna, I guess the picture quality isn’t going to be good. But I’ll just have too see for myself tonight. Until then I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
