Double Holiday

Tomorrow, we’ll be having a double holiday. Well actually only one is an official holiday; the other is not really an official holiday although both are celebrated around the world. To think that we’re going to celebrate the Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day at the same time is quite something.

But in my office it was more apparent which one is going to be celebrated more, seeing from the batch of Chinese Cakes being wrapped in red papers and ornaments. It was quite a sight to behold, too bad I don’t remember to take any picture of it. It would make one heck of a picture.

Apart from that, I don’t really know which event people will be giving gift for. Will it be the Chinese New Year? Or will it be the Valentine’s Day? Both of them are celebrated worldwide, although perhaps Valentine’s Day is more globally celebrated. It is still another day away so I bet there are people still looking for a gift to give to their dearest ones.

I have given and received Valentine’s Day gifts before, but it was such a long time ago. Nevertheless being able to give a personalized gift is one of the best things to do. It makes the gift much more special because it was meant to be special. It is not easy but it is rewarding enough to justify the effort.

I don’t know if I’ll be giving any Valentine’s Day or Chinese New year gift this year. It is unlikely but we’ll just have to see later. Anyway, time for me to get some sleep. See you around and have a wonderful Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day!
