Crowded Streets No More

At least for this week only. Usually during the Eid ul-Fitr holiday, many people from Jakarta went and visit their families. Usually their families lives quite far from Jakarta and it could took hours or even days to go and visit them. Since many people in Jakarta come from rural areas.

I enjoyed the air because it feels and looks more fresh and clear than usual. It is a joy to go for a ride or a drive on your motorcycle or car because the streets are mostly empty or at least free from the usual traffic jam that’s been plaguing this city for so long.

This year is somewhat different though, because the traffic is still somewhat crowded even on the last working day before the holiday started. It could be because the volume of vehicles is rising rapidly in Jakarta. I don’t really like going through the traffic during rush hours because it is very tiring and stressful.

One of the thing that I also don’t like is how the lighting on the street feels somewhat lacking. It could be hard seeing the ground in front of your vehicle. Perhaps all I need are better hid lights for my vehicle, or I could drive more carefully to avoid any unnecessary problems along the way.

Anyway, I think it is time to rest now. There are plenty of things to do in the morning. So good night and see you soon!
