An Evening Chat With A Friend

Last night I got into a chat with a best friend of mine. He just recently got married and I have to admit I was kin of curious how he would cope with married life. Judging from our conversation, I must say that he handles it better than thought and as his best buddy I am very proud of him.

Although lately I don’t get to talk as often as usual with him. Before he got married, we usually chatted until the wee hours of the morning. We used to play games together too, although it has been quite sometime since we last played together.

Nowadays we don’t get to chat as often because since getting married, he and his wife stays on his father in law’s house. Read the rest of this entry »

Not Just Another Day

Lately my body didn’t feel quite as usual. Perhaps that it because I didn’t get enough sleep, thanks to the Euro 2008 championship. Because of the five hours or so difference in Austria and Switzerland’s time zone to Indonesia’s time zone, the match here started at 11P.M and 2A.M. And because the matches are being held each and every, I didn’t get enough sleep because I still have to go to the office in the morning.

But this morning I have needed to go to the office early because I had a special assignment to do that require me to go with a co-worker of mine because my co-worker didn’t know the way to the place where our assignment were being held. It Is Not Easy To Have A Pet

I used to have a pet too when I was young, and it was always a dog. I’ve never had another kind of pet than dogs. And my wife also had a dog when she was young. That way, I feel it is rather unfair if I didn’t grant my children’s wish to have a pet. Read the rest of this entry »

How Easy Things Breakdown

Just a couple of weeks ago, someone bought the empty house just in front of my house. But since the house is not in a good condition anymore, the new owner has to renovate it first, although he didn’t do a total renovation because he kept the walls intact.

But the walls are the only thing that is still intact and in good condition. So the new owner still has to do a major renovation. He replaced the roof and changes the layout of the house a bit. The house is not very big, but I think it is enough for a small family to live in.

That makes me think though, how long will it be until he has to renovate again. Five? Or perhaps ten years? Nowadays the quality of material is degrading, but perhaps that is just a way to keep the cost from getting to expensive. But for that we have to sacrifice on the quality. Hygiene Is Important

For those of you who have kids, you surely know what I meant. No matter how many times my wife and I told my children, it didn’t seem to work because they’re still putting things, unclean things mind you, into their mouth. This case is especially true for my younger child.

Even my older child is not free from such action, like holding shoes or sandals on its sole and then putting hands in the mouth. My older child even has this new habit of biting the nail of her thumb! Right now, all my wife and I can do is to keep reminding her not to do that every time she started biting her fingernail.

When we are in the house, it is easy to clean our children’s hands or fingers. But when we are not in the house, washing hands is not always available as an option. This is the time when we started using those wet tissues or wipes. Those things are indeed a big help for us. Read the rest of this entry »
