American Idol Season 8 Top 11

I just finished watching this week’s American Idol show about half an hour ago. This time, the top eleven tried their best, although in my opinion only a few actually managed to really shine and show how good they really are. This time, I will do a person-by-person review.

Just a note before you read my “review”, this is solely my opinion, there’s bound to be some disagreement, so don’t take it too seriously. I just hope you’ll find it interesting enough to keep on reading the post. Enough of that now, and here’s the “review”, sorted by order of appearance:

Michael Sarver – He sounds good, apparently his Texan background makes him no stranger to the world of country music. I also had fun watching him perform, although watching once is quite enough for me.

Allison Iraheta – She definitely can sing, and I thought she did good. Although Simon said that she seems a little precautious.

Kris Allen – One of my favorite performances of the night, I love how he sung the song. He should do those kind of songs more often, those slow ballad kinda songs.

Lil Rounds – It’s hard to found fault, technique wise, regarding her singing. Although she lacked something from the very beginning

Adam Lambert – Simon said it was horrible, but in my opinion it was quite cool, especially the Desert-Beat (Irama Padang Pasir style of musik. You have to like it in order to enjoy it

Scott MacIntyre – He’s good with the piano as expected, overall it is quite good.

Alexis Grace – I think she did good, but the judge didn’t seem to like it very much

Danny Gokey – Perhaps there’s alot of people who like Danny, but as for me right now I doesn’t quite enjoy his singing.

Anoop Desai – I love his performance! It is a little shaky at places, but I love it nonetheless.

Megan Joy – Enjoyed the first part of her performance, although she didn’t quite manage it to the end. It could be because of the flu. But she’s okay.

Matt Giraud – Although the jury did praise him, I still feel it wasn’t as good as the judges said. Don’t get me wrong, he’s one of my favorite, but I know he could have done better.

I didn’t manage to finish this writing in time, so I really can’t write down my guess about who’s going home. As it happened, Alexis is the one who’s going home. This season it’s actually harder to put down who’s going home compared to the last season. It could be because most of the contestants are somewhat balanced in their singing ability. So for now, let’s just wait and see next week’s performance.

My fave for this week are: Kris, Anoop, and Megan 😀
I agree with you, Matt wasn’t that brilliant this week. Hope he can get a chance to sing some bluesy-jazzy kind of songs later.

I loved the top 5 American idol group song last night. It was sad to see Aaron Kelly eliminated however I think the others were better hence he needed to go!
