Not Yet Forgotten

I never usually noticed much of the place, but there was actually a horse track near where I’m living. I said was, because I’m sure that it has been unused for quite a long time. In fact, I’ve never seen anyone use it before.

I know that there was a horse track there because all of the city maps wrote and displayed the horse track. Perhaps it has been used before, but apparently it was a long time ago. I don’t even know if the track still exists or not.

They built a golf course in the area, if I’m not mistaken. I believe they also tried to build a mall there, but the construction stopped before it was even finished. I even saw the construction site being sealed by the police, for reasons that I don’t know about. Read the rest of this entry »

Getting Older

I do get older, I am only human after all, but I am not talking about myself or any other human being right now. Perhaps some other time, but not now. Actually I was referring to other things, such us the house I’m staying and even the water pump that is probably quite old.

I remember one time when a small part of the roof frame is broken, thanks to a couple of alley cats and a weathered roof frame. I managed to replace the wooden frame with a somewhat new one and put some new roof tiles to replace the old ones which are broken.

I also remember when my water pump is broken and we had to call the plumber twice because the first time they overlook some problem with a valve of some sort. Read the rest of this entry »

The Biggest Loser – Season 4

I enjoyed watching the Biggest Loser season 4, although season 2 is still my favorite so far. Season 3 is also quite good, better than season 4 in my opinion. It was rather spoiled by the news that Eric Chopin, the season 3 winner has regained much of his weight, and he weighs more than 300 lbs now.

I sincerely wish that he manage to shed that weight again, although based on what I read it will be unlikely. Eric himself said that he didn’t like to go to the gym, and that he doesn’t expect to be able to return to his final show weight. I believe he made the fans rather unhappy, myself included.

You don’t really need to go to the gym to lose weight. He can obviously afford to buy gym equipment, so that he can work out at home. I believe that he can just buy a good pair of running shoes and just run regularly while keeping his diet the way he learned during the show. Read the rest of this entry »

Is It Really Healthy?

I got tired easily as of late. I don’t really think that it was because I didn’t get enough rest, because I believe I did get enough rest. 6 – 7 hours of rest each day should be enough for me, it usually is. Or maybe it’s because I didn’t get enough workout? I don’t really think that it is the case also.

I usually jog two to three times a week for 15 minutes each, usually during the morning. And lately I even took the stairs to get to the office (at 16th floor). During the night I usually do some weight training. So I do feel a little puzzled at the lack of stamina lately.

It could be that I am getting older, but I’m only in my early thirties. My current weight at around 148 lbs is quite normal in my opinion. I eat regularly and rarely skipped a meal. It could be that I am actually a bit overworked since I am doing too many activities, but I digress. Read the rest of this entry »

They Keep On Coming

I don’t usually get irritated much by those sales people whose doing telemarketing, I mean they also need to work so they can earn a living. There were times when the calls just poured in. I once get called for a several times during a week, each one offering a different product and representing different company.

I have to give them credit, because most of the time, they are quite relentless in their offer. Obviously they are hoping of making a sale, because they will get bonuses from every sale that they made. Although some of the times they don’t know when to call it quits, and that irritates me.
