Something To Think About

My best friend is lying in a hospital bed, having contracted the dengue fever. He’s been receiving care at the hospital since Christmas Eve. Having contracted the fever once in the past, I can more or less feel his pain. It was the only time I ever received care for almost a week at the hospital.

I can tell you that it was a most unpleasant experience for me and I believe that it must be the same with him. To make it worse, he had to celebrate Christmas at the hospital with only some of his family standing by to cheer him up.

I haven’t been able to pay him a visit either, since I was out of town when he first got admitted in the hospital. I am deeply saddened by this, and the fact that I still hasn’t been able to go and pay him a visit. I really, really hope he’d understand. Read the rest of this entry »

Quality, Not Quantity

I had done it again, sleeping in front of my computer. I guess I really need that rest even more now. It’s been a while now since I had some quality sleep, and it makes me tire easily because I didn’t feel rested enough to be able to do my daily activities.

It is a strange thing about sleep though. I remember feeling more refreshed after a 4 hours sleep compared to sleeping for 8 hours sleep. Although I have to admit that it didn’t happen all the time. There are several occasion, but not that many.

I guess where you sleep also affected the quality of your sleep. I remember sleeping on the couch and feeling sore all over in the morning. I also remembered sleeping in a thin mattress and also sleeping on a sleeping bed. Nothing could really beats sleeping in a nice and soft bed. Read the rest of this entry »
