It happen a couple of days ago. It has been a while since I recorded anything on my LiteOn DVD Writer optical drive, so I was surprised and a little bit annoyed that it failed to record my data to a Sony DVD+R discs. And to make matters worse, it failed on me three times!

You can imagine how annoying it could be! I tried two burning softwares; the first one is ImgBurn, which is a freeware DVD/CD burning solution that I just tried. I forget what exactly the error was, but it just won’t burn my data. Since it was my first time trying the software, I tried using another software just to make sure.

The second software that I tried was Nero 7 Express which comes bundled with my DVD drive. As it happened, Nero failed me too, so I was starting to think that the problem was not with the software. I used to have my sporting session a couple of days a week. That way, I can maintain my level of fitness, because if I didn’t do my training for a couple of times, my body feels not right, and my head felt a little light headed somehow. I’m trying to train regularly again because I am trying to stay in shape.

At times like these, biggest obstacle to overcome is ourself, especially because it is hard to start the training on your own. It is always hard to start doing sports or exercise especially when you are doing it on your own. Doing the exercise is easier if we have friends that can help motivate us in doing the exercise. It seems that I’ve wrote a lot of health related posts lately. Considering my age right now makes health related issues look more important. Of course, I am still in my early thirties, but a couple of years ago, I thought that I’d stay on my twenties forever. So you can say that this is pretty scary stuff.

There are actually a couple of activities that I choose to keep in shape, but my favorite is Martial Arts. As of now, I’ve been doing Martial Arts for 15 years, although I’m not disciplined or focused enough to actually be a good martial artist, even after doing it for so long. You know, the more you write, the harder it becomes to actually think of a title for your post. I am very tired as of now, but I need to write something. This time it is about a friend whom I just met again after more than 10 years. Quite a long time indeed, but it was a welcome occasion.

I met him during another friend’s wedding party, which happened to be his friend also. To cut things short, we exchange phone number, like any civilized human being would do when they met again after a long time. Although we rarely followed up with our friend after that, thanks to our so-called busy lives.

Okay, status update. My stomach feels a whole lot better than yesterday, thanks to a good night rest and also thanks to good medication. Although I did feel somewhat light headed and slightly nauseated throughout yesterday, not to mention a bad case of headache, I feel much better now.

It is really hard to do a full day’s work in a condition like that, but thankfully I managed it quite okay, although I know I can do better. The early part of the morning is an exception though, the workload was high and so was the pressure. Read the rest of this entry »
