I rarely have any facial skin problem now, but I remember my teenage days when I was plagued by problems like zits, pimples, acne, oily skin, you name it. I believe most of you who have passed adolescence experienced the same thing.

A couple of days ago I was taking my children for a walk around the neighborhood. It was Saturday afternoon, the breeze was light and the weather is nice. The sun is setting down to the west, bathing the treetops with a gentle golden glow.

It’s been a very busy couple of weeks lately. It felt like I don’t have enough time for myself because of my busy and hectic schedule. It has been several days since I had quality time for myself. Most of the times I ended up doing stuff for my family, friends, and also for work at the office.

At times like this I felt that my spirit of giving is being really tested. How much would you give to other people who are in need of your help? Here in Indonesia, we have a saying that when you give something to other people, give it sincerely and willingly. If you can’t give it sincerely and willingly then don’t bother to give at all. Do you have children of your own? I do and sometimes it amazes me how fast they grow. Although they are a toddler still, but it still feel like it was just yesterday that they were born. Oh well, it does sound a little cliché, doesn’t it?

I usually measure their growth by the clothes they are wearing. Nowadays, my oldest kid’s clothes are already to small for her to wear, and now it is my youngest kid who wears it. Even then, lately I’ve noticed that even the clothes are getting too small for him also. Read the rest of this entry »

Here it goes, another writing about the Olympic Games. I am not a fan of swimming, but I guess I can make an exception now. It was not actually swimming in general, but more because of Michael Phelps, the 23-years-old swimmer from the USA.

He is catching the eyes of media around the world because he said that he wanted to break the record of the most gold medals won in a single Olympic Games. The last record belonged to Mark Spitz with 7 gold medals which he won in the 1972 Olympic Games. Read the rest of this entry »
