A Change of Heart – For The Third Time

Lately, the weather for the last couple of days in Jakarta is not very friendly. Alternating from dry, to drizzle, to heavy downpour, and then back to dry again. With such fluctuating weather, it is only a matter of time before someone gets sick. As it happens, my son is having a cold. Yesterday, the cold was at its worst. He could not sleep well and is prone to waking up in the middle of the night, coughing badly. It was not until today, thanks to a quick visit to a physicist’s office, that the fever and the coughing have lessened. Despite all of the things that I have in mind, I am unable to put it into writing, because family comes first. The only thing I managed to do that has a lasting effect on my blog was updating my WordPress Theme for a third time.

MacBook Air – The Thinnest Notebook Ever

MacBook AirI’ve never own an Apple product before. And why is that? Well, mostly because Apple’s Products are downright expensive, even more by Indonesian standards. Besides, I have been using Windows since my teenage days. And as always, the thought of switching to a totally different Platform / Operating System is downright scary. And also, with the same amount of money, I can build myself a better custom-made PC. Of course, my buddy nu3l who is an avid Mac user (God bless his soul), constantly nags me into switching to a Mac. But I’m not that easily swayed. Well, actually it’s because I can’t afford it, simply put.

The Danger of Riding a Motorbike in Jakarta

If you are living in Jakarta, Indonesia, and you travel around the city, mostly on your Motorbike, and then you should now what the title of this post is all about. Affordable here is in terms of price and maintenance, not to mention gasoline mileage. An average Motorbike could cover around 25 miles (40 kilometers) for every liter of gasoline. Compare that to an average car which from price alone is almost 10 times more expensive. Not to mention mileage and maintenance.

Healthy Blogging

Today, I just realized something interesting. This February have been the most productive month of writing. This is my 8th blog entry, and it is not even halfway past the month! I don’t usually write as much as I do now. Oh there are ideas, and quite plenty of them, if I might add. But usually, every time I went online, the routine is almost the same. Check mail, browse for a little headline news (my favorite news website is the BBC News Page– International Version), and then it is time for my World of Warcraft (WoW) Session. Although usually my WoW session is taking most of my time online.

How to Get Your Blog Approved by Blogsvertise

Tonight, the verdict is in. Just a couple of hours ago, I received an e-mail from Blogsvertise’s representative saying that my blog has been approved. But, since the blog is rather new (less than 60 days old), they have put my account on probation. Besides new, another reason is because I haven’t got a lot of post on my blog. That in itself is a valid point. And in this case, both of them are true. But what I like about them is they’re willing to give a chance and are willing to give me assignments, only in a reduced rate of payout. And not also that, but they also told me about how to get off the probation status.
